Has anyone had success in using Bee Propolis to treat depression?
If so, could you please share the details?
i.e. how successful is it for you? which brand do you use? what dosage do you take?
No, I've only heard of it being used as a topic anti-infective/anti-biotic for wounds, etc. I have heard of people taking it for increased energy also but I don't know how effective this is. Years ago, I did try it for this but had a severe allergic reaction and when I checked up on why this could be, I learned that even a bee "sensitivity" (as opposed to a true "allergy to bees") can make a person react with greater intensity to bee products. Needless to say, I didn't try it again. (I can eat honey though.)
But, back to depression....depression can frequently be treated really well with placebo (as much very recent scientific evidence has shown.) (I had been saying that for years but no one believed me until lately.) My point is that if you really believe something will work for you, it has a really good chance of working for you. (Actually, real chemical medication does not work as well - even if you believe in it - as yoga, meditation, cognitive behavioral therapy, and other therapies - MBCT, STDP)
