Have you ever had a horrible bad taste in your mouth while taking milk thistle?
Ever since starting milk thistle (one in the am, one in the pm) I've had this terrible taste in my mouth. Has anyone else had this side effect?
I have taken milk thistle several times and in combination with other herbs but never experienced this. When using this herb, which is a cleanser of the blood, through the urinary tract and bowel, it is important to keep the kidneys & bowel moving freely so the toxins being removed cannot reabsorb into your system. That means lots of fiber, lots of water and maybe consider supplementing with a healthy oil. Most liver cleansers use milk thistle (aka silymarin) in combination with burdock root and dandelion root, as it seems to work best that way.
You might check the label on your supplement and see if there is anything else in it. Be sure you are drinking plenty of water or you could wind up with more ill health.
