giving a 1 month old baby pure orange juice?
my friend has just been to visit and is complaining that her 1mnth old son has constipation. she doesnt know how to help it and hasnt tried to find out. she then told me that she had given him some pure orange juice the other day. oh my god! is this wrong or is it just me?
Citrus fruits are acidy. Also, a lot of people have allergies to them. I would tell your friend NOT to give her child any more orange juice or fruits in general. Babies that young are very sensitive to what is given to them. Formula, breast milk are pretty much it for that age unless directed by the child's pediatrician. I would suggest she give them a call, tell them the situation, and see what he tells her.
