What does boxing improve? strength. stamina. or what?
I am trying to gain more muscle for football and track, i hear boxing is good but i dont have time to go to a gym daily.. so does boxing at home help strength? stamina? or what does it help
Boxing improves a number of things: stamina, quickness, hand-eye coordination, and confidence. Unfortunately, it's not the ideal sport to undertake for someone trying to build muscle mass. Oh, I suppose if you hit the heavy bag alot you'd strengthen your shoulder muscles, and also biceps and triceps with hooks, but that's about it. You're really better off hitting the weight room if you want to get stronger. In fact, alot of boxers I know won't even touch weights, because they say it takes away their quickness; they want their muscles nice and loose instead of tight and buffed.
