As with all 'alternatives', there have been no proper clinical tests, so no proof that it has any effect on cancer.
As I always say - where there's cancer there's someone waiting to make a fast buck from people's terror, and I see Essiac as one of these ineffective money-makers.
Always be wary of anecdotal evidence - you have no way of knowing that the person claiming a miraculous cure ever had cancer in the first place.
